(Yicai Global) Jan. 6 -- Hundreds of Chinese tech companies, including Huawei Technologies and laser projector maker Fengmi Technology, will showcase their latest products at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, starting tomorrow.

Chinese brands, which made up one-third of the total last year, will vie for attention among the event's expected 4,500 exhibitors and 175,000 participants. The Chinese delegation will also include service robot maker Canbot Technology and electric scooter firm Niu Information Technology.

This year's CES, formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show, will present the trending themes of artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, fifth-generation wireless networks, quantum computing, and 8K TVs.

China's domestic market is saturated so local firms are looking for new business opportunities abroad, analyst Simon Bryant from Futuresource Consulting told Yicai Global. 

CES is an important platform for Chinese companies to demonstrate their advanced technologies to the world while the target market is not only the US but also Europe and South America, Bryant added.
