(Yicai Global) Nov. 25 -- China's HBIS Group and Italy Tenova Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friday that the two companies would carry out in-depth cooperation in hydrogen metallurgy technology, and team up with Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (CERI) to build the world's first hydrogen metallurgy demonstration project with a capacity of 1.2 million tons., HBIS announced today on its official website.
The project will start with a change in energy consumption structure to completely solve the environmental pollution and carbon emissions caused by the steel metallurgy process, HBIS said.
HBIS did not disclose further details.
