(Yicai Global) July 16 -- China's Great Wall Motor has chosen a unit of Yonggui Electric Equipment to supply it with auto parts.
Sichuan Yonggui Science and Technology will primarily supply connectors, charging guns, and wiring harnesses for Great Wall Motor's new energy vehicles, the car parts maker's Zhejiang province-based parent said in a statement yesterday.
The Hebei province-based car manufacturer set up a joint venture with German BMW last week to make 160,000 BMW-branded cars in China. The latest statement did not specify whether the deal was related to this JV.
Founded in 1973, Yonggui Technology's clients include Chinese electric car makers such as Beiqi Foton Motor, Geely, Dongfeng Motor, BYD Auto, Chery Automobile.
