(Yicai Global) Aug. 24 -- Southern China's Great Power Energy &Technology will partner with a unit of state-owned carmaker Dongfeng Motor to provide parts for new energy vehicles' battery systems.
Great Power signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dongfeng Automobile, under which it will produce components, spare parts and modules required for battery systems primarily used in passenger vehicles, small vans and logistics vehicles, the Guangzhou-based battery maker said in a statement today. The details of the partnership will be decided later.
Founded in 2001, Great Power develops and produces various types of batteries that it sells in China and exports to countries such as the US, Japan and the UK.
