(Yicai Global) Sept. 8 -- Chinese air filter manufacturer Zhejiang Goldensea Environment Technology Co. [SHA:603311] and Tianjin University signed a passenger cabin air filter technology development contract.

Tianjin University will develop aircraft air filters for the company. Goldensea said yesterday that it will own the intellectual property rights to all technical achievements arising from the research and development process, while Tianjin University will enjoy the right of authorship.

The cooperation period will last two years, and Goldensea will invest USD462,700 (CNY3 million) in R&D. 

Tianjin University has been responsible for the design of air flow and ride comfort solutions for China's independently developed C919 large passenger plane. It set up an aircraft cabin environment laboratory to provide comprehensive and accurate data and is a national leader in high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter products and performance testing.

Goldensea is a well-known Chinese manufacturer of environmental protection filter materials. The company said that the signing of the contract will improve its core competitiveness in the traditional air filtration industry, and that its products have good market prospects as well as economic and social benefits.
