(Yicai Global) Oct. 18 -- China increased its electricity output in the first three quarters of this year.
China generated 5.3 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the nine months, 3 percent more than during the same period of last year, the National Bureau of Statistics released today.
In September, the nation produced 590.8 billion kWhs of electricity, up by 4.7 percent from a year ago and a 3 percentage point jump from August.
In the first half, China's electricity output rose by 3.3 percent.
