(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- BOE Technology Group Co.'s [SHE:000725] sixth-generation flexible active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) factory in Chengdu has mass produced ahead of schedule, Jiemian.com reported.

BOE delivered flexible AMOLEDs to Huawei Technologies Co., OPPO Electronics Corp., VIVO Mobile Communication Device Co., Xiaomi Inc., ZTE Corp. [SHE:000063;

HK:0763], Nubia Technology Ltd. and several other clients at a mass production delivery ceremony in that city today.

BOE's sixth-generation flexible AMOLED production center is the first of its kind in China and the second in the world.

Applying the world's most advanced vacuum evaporation technique and flexible packaging technology, the facility can produce curving and folding LED screens that are mainly used on mobile products and intelligent wearable devices.

Backed by USD7 billion (CYN46.5 billion), this project started in May 2015 and has a designed monthly capacity of 48,000 1,850-millimeter-by-1,500-millimeter glass substrates.

Construction on another BOE production line of the same kind started on Dec. 28 last year. The firm expects to complete it and start operating it in 2019.
