(Yicai Global) Jan. 15 -- China’s first mass production line for satellites, that can produce more than 240 of the space capsules a year, is ready for testing, the Hubei Daily reported today.

The smart factory has not only realized full automation in key production processes, it can also custom tailor the final product, said project designer Liu Feng.

Located in Wuhan, capital of central Hubei province, the plant was built by a subsidiary of state-owned spacecraft maker China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp.
