(Yicai Global) Sept. 28 -- China's Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has declared the second testing phase of key 5G technologies complete, saying the results suggest the technology can meet the performance requirements set by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Sina Tech quoted Wen Ku, the ministry's secretary of development, as saying on Sept. 28.
The ITU performance indicators relate to peak rates, time delays, flow and density.
The third phase of testing, to start next year, will focus on the performance of single station networking related to business equipment, and connectivity.
China's 5G testing started in January last year and encompasses 5G New Radio and network testing. New radio wireless testing has now been successfully completed and part of the network testing will be finished before the end of the year.
