(Yicai Global) Dec. 7 -- Everwin Precision Technology is likely to join a group of Chinese electronic device parts suppliers by establishing a plant in Vietnam, following Samsung Group's increased investment in the Asian country.
Everwin should complete its factory in North-Central Vietnam's Nghe An, not far from Samsung's plant, in 2021, Yicai Global learned from an informed person who wished to remain anonymous.
The Shenzhen-based firm, which has collaborated with the South Korean tech giant for nearly 10 years, has not disclosed if it's reducing its output in China.
Chinese acoustic component supplier Goertek, screen supplier Lens Technology, and iPhone assembler Foxconn Technology Group have also built manufacturing bases in Vietnam amid lower labor costs and preferable tariff policies.
Everwin, which is diversifying its product portfolio from handset and computer parts to electric vehicle components, made 0.3 percent more in revenue at CNY8.7 billion (USD1.3 billion) last year from 2018, according to its earnings report.
