(Yicai Global) Nov. 6 -- Chinese manufacturers of electronic devices provided 8.9 percent more added value during the first nine months of this year compared with last, though the rate of increase was down 4.3 percentage points annually, the Securities Times reported today citing data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The producers added some 11.4 percent more value in September alone, up 6.7 percentage points from August, the report added.
Value-added in the communications equipment industry rose 7.1 percent annually during the first three quarters, despite mobile phone production falling 6.4 percent and smartphone manufacturing sliding 8.4 percent.
