(Yicai Global) Oct.17 -- China Food and Drug Administration has fined Changsheng Biotechnology as well as confiscated illegal income to the tune of CNY9.1 billion (USD1.8 billion) following a fake rabies vaccine scandal, the regulator said in a statement.
The provincial food and drug administration of Jilin has also revoked the company's pharmaceutical production license, CFDA's statement said.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang demanded an investigation into Changsheng Biotechnology in late July after it emerged that the firm had been faking data related to its production of vaccines.
