(Yicai Global) April 11 – Didi Chuxing, China's largest ride-hailing service platform, has launched a financial management system that helps vehicle leasing companies to assess risks that drivers take with their cars.

The new system called Quan Ju, which translates to a 'whole orange,' is expected to serve 1,500 leasing partners by the end of 2019, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement today.

Didi added a host of financial functions for users on the platform in January, including insurance, wealth management, and payment services.

"The ability to monitor a ride-hailing vehicle's operation, performance and maintenance in real-time is a tremendous asset for drivers and fleet managers, enabling them to better and more efficiently identify risks," said Xiaoyu Liu, head of Didi's financial services operations in China.

In a pilot project, a leasing partner in the southwestern city of Chengdu was able to grow its fleet from 1,000 to 3,000 vehicles due to an increased efficiency achieved with the service without adding headcount.
