(Yicai Global) Oct. 14 -- Jiangsu Zhongshe Group admitted yesterday it designed the highway block that included a flyover span that toppled over in China's eastern city of Wuxi on Oct. 10, killing three and injuring two.
The transport infrastructure design firm cited preliminary investigation results by local government in its statement, that concluded the accident was strictly the result of an overloaded truck.
"Internal investigation shows the design was sound, and met the various government standards," the company concluded.
Jiangsu Zhongshe 's shares [SZE:002883] rose 2.67 percent to CNY19.59 (USD2.77) at lunch break. It closed down 4.70 percent last Friday.
