(Yicai Global) May 8 -- Ctrip.Com International, China's largest travel agency, will provide Big Data to Beijing's upcoming Daxing International Airport in order to prepare for transit bottlenecks at the air base.
Ctrip will cooperate with Beijing Daxing International Airport by sharing user search and booking data to warn about a peak in passenger flow and help the airport improve its security, civil aviation information website Carnoc.Com reported yesterday, citing the Shanghai-based firm.
The travel agency can also use Big Data to send customized information about the expected journey to passengers to enhance their experience.
"The two sides will promote long-term and further collaboration in fields related to the airport," Ctrip Chief Executive Sun Jie said.
Beijing's second international airport will be put into operation prior to Sept. 30. The air base is expected to have a passenger throughput of 72 million in 2025, serving the northern Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Founded in 1999, Ctrip has different travel booking brands including Qunar, Trip.Com, and Skyscanner.
