China's July CPI Gained 2.8% as PPI Fell 0.3% China's July CPI Gained 2.8% as PPI Fell 0.3%

(Yicai Global) Aug. 9 -- China's consumer price index climbed 2.8 percentage points last month over the same period last year, 0.1 of a percentage point faster than its increase in June, figures China's National Bureau of Statistics released today show.

The producer price index dropped 0.3 percent during the period at a rate unchanged from June last year, per the bureau's data.
