(Yicai Global) Oct. 9 -- China's postal service has increased by 260 percent in business volume and 170 percent in income since 2012, China Securities quoted Ma Junsheng, head of the State Postal Bureau of China, as saying today.

The country's express courier services have ranked first in the world for three consecutive years and make up more than 40 percent of the global industry, he added.

Successful restructuring and listing of six Chinese logistics firms, including SF Holding Co. [SHE:002352] and ZTO Express Cayman Inc. [NYSE:ZTO], and China Post Group Corp. becoming a top three global postal firm worked wonders for China's service industry and the world's postal sector, state-owned news agency Xinhua quoted Ma as saying.

Postal services are a vital part of every country. China plans to expand the coverage of its postal services and upgrade models to enable more industries to benefit from the development of postal services, and business and people to benefit from innovation in the sector. The country will also enforce strict quality product management practices to safeguard consumer rights and interests.
