China's Consumer Goods Retail Sales Grew Lackluster 4.6% in December(Yicai Global) Jan. 18 -- China's total retail sales of consumer goods climbed 4.6 percent per year last month to a less-than-projected CNY4.06 trillion (USD626 billion), per data the National Bureau of Statistics released today.
This growth fell short of the 5.77 percent rise expected by chief economists Yicai Global surveyed.
China's total retail sales of consumer goods fell 3.9 percent to CNY39.2 trillion last year, official data show.
