(Yicai Global) March 31 - Over 7,000 doctors and nurses boarded 51 flights to depart from the novel coronavirus epicenter of Hubei province to return home today now that the pandemic has started to come under control in the country, according to a statement from the Civil Aviation Administration of China today.
In the largest medical team withdrawal mission carried out by the CAAC thus far, 11 Chinese air carriers, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines carried out this mission to send these 71 medical teams back to 20 provinces.
The CAAC has organized 235 flights to airlift over 32,000 medical workers home from March 17 to today.
