(Yicai Global) Nov. 7 -- China CAMC Engineering landed a contract worth USD289 million to build the main competition and service facilities for the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan's Olympic City project includes the games' main stadium, competition venues, dormitory buildings, and other related facilities, the Beijing-based engineering contractor announced today.

The city of Tashkent will host the 2025 Asian Youth Games, held once every four years, the Olympic Council of Asia said in early May.

The investment and construction of the Olympic City project in Uzbekistan will help consolidate CAMCE's expertise in civil construction, such as comprehensive large-scale sports venues, and expand the firm's overseas market share, CAMCE noted.

The company did not disclose any further details, such as the construction schedule, but added that it still needs to further discuss with the project owner on the commercial contract terms, financing mechanisms, and other specifics.

CAMCE [SHE: 002051] closed up 0.2 percent at CNY8.19 (USD1.13) today after earlier gaining as much as 1.7 percent.
