(Yicai Global) Jan. 15 -- Graphene-producer BTR New Energy Materials will invest CNY777 million (USD115 million) to construct an anode materials project in southern Guangdong province to meet the related demand for lithium-ion batteries.
BTR will start building the plant in Huizhou in March and finish in 22 months, the Shenzhen-based firm's parent China Bao An Group said in a statement yesterday. The factory will have an annual capacity of 40,000 tons of anode materials.
The project will enhance BTR's position in the sector and boost the parent's business performance, the statement added.
Founded in 2000, BRT makes conductive materials for power units that can be used in new energy vehicles.
