(Yicai Global) June 11 -- China’s auto sales climbed 14.5 percent to 2.19 million in May as factories restarted and the labor force went back to work as Covid-19 was contained in the country, according to a report the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released today.
Auto production also swelled 18.2 percent to 2.19 million last month. Car output and sales were 7.79 million and 7.96 million from January to May in a respective 24.1 percent and 22.6 percent year-on-year drop, per the report.
