(Yicai Global) Oct. 28 -- ArcherMind Technology’s stock price surged after the Chinese company said it had become an independent software developer for HarmonyOS, the operating system developed by Huawei Technologies.
After soaring by as much as 19 percent, just shy of the 20 percent daily limit on Shenzhen’s Nasdaq-like ChiNext board, ArcherMind [SHE:300598] ended 11 percent higher at CNY82.92 (USD12.96) a share.
ArcherMind signed a deal with Huawei on Oct. 23 agreeing to build software solutions that can help more vendors use the Harmony ecosystem, the Nanjing-based company said today via its WeChat account.
HarmonyOS works on smartphones and tablets and has been installed on over 150 million devices since its debut in 2019, according to the latest data from Huawei. As an open ecosystem, it can be installed on devices made by others and is used in over 4,000 products from 1,800-plus partners. It has year-to-date shipments of over 60 million units.
Formed in 2006, ArcherMind focuses on OS development and provides clients with customized software for intelligent mobile terminals and smart vehicles.
