(Yicai Global) April 4 -- Chinese regulators have approved the appointment of a new deputy general manager at Anbang Insurance Group, which has been under government control since last February.
Yang Xiaoling, former chief digital officer at China Pacific Insurance Group, will take up the role. The 61-year-old resigned from China Pacific last October after 27 years due to issues related to his age, according to a statement at the time. He led the insurance giant's digital transformation.
The China Insurance Regulatory Commission took control of Anbang after former Chairman and General Manager Wu Xiaohui was accused of fraud and taking advantage of his position. His position remains vacant.
