(Yicai Global) Aug. 1 -- China's import and export of agriculture products rose 1.4 percent to nearly USD108.7 billion in the first half this year, the Ministry of Agriculture said today.

The country's exports fell 2.5 percent to USD36.8 billion while imports gained 3.5 percent to USD71.8 billion, expanding the deficit by 10.6 percent to USD35 billion.
