(Yicai Global) June 21 -- Aerospace Hi-Tech Holding Group has penned a cooperation agreement with JD.Com to develop driverless logistics vehicles and other new logistics equipment for the Chinese e-commerce colossus, the firm announced late yesterday.
The two agreed that unstaffed logistics device developer Beijing JD Qianshi Technology under JD.Com will provide technical specifications on driverless logistics vehicles and Aerospace Hi-Tech will set up a team to develop tailored products which meet them and improve the user experience, according to the announcement, which mentioned no financial details or statement of the distribution of profits and benefits, such as intellectual property ownership.
JD Qianshi focuses on developing automatic logistic centers, drones, warehouse robots, high-precision maps, self-driving delivery vehicles and other intelligent logistic projects, public data show.
The Institute of Aviation Technology of China Aerospace Science and Industry, the major shareholder of Harbin, Heilongjiang province-based Aerospace Hi-Tech, is a Chinese missile technology developer.
