(Yicai Global) June 20 -- Lu Yanchun, director of the Price Monitoring Center of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, said today that the annual consumer price index will grow at around 2 percent to 4 percent annually, and the reading is not expected to hit 3 percent. 

Fruit and vegetable prices have increased significantly but they will fall gradually as supply increases, he added.
