(Yicai Global) Nov. 13 -- The government of China’s central Hubei province will bring in more stringent regulations on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), commonly known as drones, meaning that owners will be required to submit real-name registration details, local newspaper Chutian Metropolis Daily reported today.

New policies in the province include the designation of specific no-fly zones, and increased monitoring of illegal drone use near airports, important facilities and sensitive areas.

The government will also stipulate areas available for flying UAVs legally, and also enhance basic training for UAV flyers featuring air safety knowledge. Flight delays have occurred at a number of airports in China over the past year due to drones violating no-fly zones, especially near airports.
