(Yicai Global) Sept. 11 -- Chengdu Homexpress Logistics Co, a homeware logistics company based in Chengdu, Sichuan province, recently obtained USD 7.69 million funds from Red Star Macalline Group Corporation Ltd. [HKG:1528] in a second round of financing, which will be invested in establishing an intelligent logistics service platform, media reports said.
Homexpress will integrate industrial resources to develop all-in-one store services and create direct-sale goods warehouses in 50 major cities across China. It will also increase its fund investment in informatization, improve its last-mile service quality, and construct an intelligent logistics service platform, Iyiou reported today.
Homexpress is dedicated to providing homeware e-commerce businesses with all-in-one services that include long-distance logistics, warehousing, intra-city delivery, home installation and repair, it said. In 2012, Tmall, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd's [NYSE:BABA] international e-commerce platform, selected Homexpress as its all-in-one homeware service provider. In July 2015, Homexpress secured tens of millions of yuan from Tigercub Funds in a first round of financing.
Homexpress creates and consolidates logistics resources, assembly resources, and takes various measures such as warehousing optimization, data analysis, and specialized training to resolve timeliness issues in homeware sales. It creates a sale pattern that connects online sales with offline sales, traditional sales with e-commerce sales, and helps sellers with their online and offline sales.
Homexpress has dedicated delivery and installation teams in more than 2,000 areas in 625 cities across China, capable of meeting the demand for all-in-one internet heavy-cargo logistics service at any time, it says.
Macalline is a well-known home decoration and furniture store operator in China. Its latest investment in a homeware logistics enterprise indicates that offline homeware stores have begun to have frequent and close cooperation with homeware logistics service providers. This ushers in an all-new model in the homeware service industry.
