(Yicai  Global) May 10 -- Changan Automobile Company, which has a joint venture  with US-based Ford, announced that April sales fell 40 percent annually  to 121,245 units.

For the first  four months of 2019, the company shipped 570,056 units, a significant  decrease from 845,018 units the same period last year.

Changan's  Ford JV sold 14,797 vehicles in April, down from 37,800 units annually.  The unit sold 51,597 in the first four months of 2019, significantly  less than the 168,251 sold in the same period last year.
