(Yicai) Oct. 19 -- The chairman and chief executive officer of Ping An Healthcare and Technology, China’s largest healthcare platform operator, also known as Ping An Good Doctor, has stepped down.

Fang Weihao will resign from all his positions at Ping An Good Doctor and assume roles at the firm’s parent company Ping An Insurance Group, the Shanghai-based healthcare service provider announced yesterday.

Fang joined Ping An Good Doctor in 2020, responsible for building a healthcare service ecosystem.

Li Dou, who had been serving as a non-executive director at Ping An Good Doctor since August, will replace Fang in all his positions, the company added.

Before joining Ping An Good Doctor, Li was the special assistant to the chairman and general manager of the department of home care for the elderly at Ping An Life Insurance. He also worked for Mars Wrigley Confectionery China as vice president of sales and general manager of demand earlier in his career.

Li has an insight into consumer needs after working as a senior manager in the fields of medicine, fast-moving consumer demand assessment, which would help his management work in company's product research and development, supply channel construction, and digital operations, Ping An Good Doctor noted.

Net loss at Ping An Good Doctor narrowed 47 percent to CNY245 million (USD33.5 million in the first half from a year earlier, according to the company’s latest earnings report. Ping An Good Doctor aims to achieve break-even between next year and 2025, it added.
