(Yicai Global) Oct. 23 -- The Chinese Academy of Sciences has established the country's largest robot industry base under a subsidiary, Shenyang Siasun Robot & Automation Smart Technology Park Co. (Siasun), in Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning province, state-run China News Service reported.

The park envisages itself as a world-class robotics enterprise, and an ecosystem platform that integrates industry, financial, educational and innovative resources.

The 340,000-square-meter park features a headquarters building, a robot display center, a research and development base and manufacturing plants for clean, digital and finished equipment, flexible intelligent devices and large equipment.

Siasun specializes in a variety of robotics-related intelligent products and services. The firm has one of the most comprehensive business scopes among robot producers worldwide. Its products are divided into five series: industrial robots, vacuum cleaning robots, mobile robots, special-purpose robots and intelligent robots.

The facility also boasts the country's first Industry 4.0 demonstration production facility, named Plant C4. It can produce up to more than 10,000 units of robots and intelligent manufacturing equipment every year.

The plant integrates robotics, intelligent devices and information technologies related to manufacturing practices including production, quality control and logistics operations. It also offers an effective transformation solution for the conversion of product designs into production processes.
