CAMCE Undertakes USD131 Million Electric Transmission and Distribution Project in Kenya

(Yicai Global) July 18 -- China CAMC Engineering Co. [SHE:002051] (CAMCE) will build a 285-kilometer 220-Kilovolt electric transmission circuit and three supporting substations for Kenya. 

The company signed a contract with Kenya's Ministry of Energy and Petroleum for this project that is worth roughly USD131 million and has a duration of 24 months, per a statement the firm issued yesterday.

The transmission circuit lies in Kenya's central and northern regions.

The contract needs approval from the governments of both China and Kenya and the completion of financing before performance may begin.
