(Yicai Global) Sept. 4 -- BYD Co. [SHE:002594], China's largest electric car producer, has won the bid to supply 432 new energy vehicles (NEVs) worth USD85.6 million (CNY560.7 million) to Shenzhen Westernbus Co.
That figure does not include national and local NEV subsidies, BYD said Sept. 1.
Operators in Shenzhen, where BYD is headquartered, are required to use pure electric vehicles when adding or replacing buses. The city will make all public buses fully electric by the end of this month and aims for all taxis to be fully electric by the end of 2020, per a plan published by the city government.
