(Yicai Global) July 2 -- China's new energy vehicle industry will come under pressure in the short term but continue to improve in the long run.
The sales growth of the whole industry will slow 40 percent this year, but BYD will achieve an over 70 percent increase, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu told the 2019 World New Energy Vehicle Conference today in Boao in China's southern island province of Hainan.
Shenzhen-based BYD's sales of new energy vehicles hit 119,082 units in the first five month in an over twofold annual increase, the company announced last month.
