(Yicai) Feb. 19 -- A new financial analysis program will make its debut on Dragon TV tonight. Business Insights will feature in-depth discussions with top professionals and experts on current economic affairs.

The show aims to offer thorough analysis, exploring the complexity and resilience of China’s economy from the perspective of its development logic, policy choices, and industry dynamics. It will also look at cutting-edge trends in the global environment, giving viewers more insights into the country’s economic development, while also enhancing international understanding.

The first series will focus on the buzz word of the moment, tariffs. Yin Fan, one of Yicai’s hosts, and Yao Yang, a special guest and Boya chair professor at Peking University, will talk to two renowned experts about this year’s global economic prospects and investment strategies in the shadow of tariffs as well as the challenges and growth opportunities for China’s economy amid the uncertainties surrounding globalization.

In the future, Business Insights will focus on the cultivation of new driving forces for economic growth, challenges facing the manufacturing industry, regional economic synergy, and international economic cooperation.

Produced by Yicai, Business Insights will be led by Editor-in-Chief Yang Yudong together with Yicai’s big-name hosts, editors, and journalists, who will talk to top professionals in the financial field.

Upcoming episodes will feature Robert Zoellick, former president of the World Bank, Stephen Roach, senior research scholar at Yale University, Nicholas Lardy, a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, and Arend Kapteyn, global chief economist at UBS.

The program will also host other big name guests, including scholars Yao Yang and He Fan, financial and cultural observer Qin Shuo, as well as financial writer Wu Xiaobo.

Each episode will premiere on Dragon TV at 10.30 p.m. on Wednesdays and will be shown again on the Yicai channel at 10 p.m. on Saturdays. Dragon TV and Yicai are both owned by Shanghai Media Group.
