(Yicai Global) Dec. 23 -- BMW's China venture with Brilliance China Automotive Holdings will take back more than 310,000 BMW 3 Series sedans in China due to fuel oil leak risks, which is its second major vehicle recall this year.
BMW Brilliance Automotive will rescind the 3 Series cars made from April 22, 2011, to July 31, 2016, to test fuel tank pressure and fix substandard parts, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement on Dec. 20.
In April, the Liaoning province-based car firm took back 360,000 vehicles due to airbag problems.
Last year, the Munich-headquartered auto manufacturer took a majority stake in its over 15-year-old China JV amid relaxed ownership limits.
