Big Chinese Industrial Firms Log 1.7% Less in Profits Jan.-Aug.(Yicai Global) Sept. 27 -- Gains decreased among large Chinese industrial companies from January to August.
Chinese industrial enterprises above designated size made CNY4.02 trillion (USD563.7 billion) in profits during the eight months, down 1.7 percent from a previous year, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics today. The decline is equal to that of Jan.-July.
August was a particularly weak month as profits fell 2 percent from a previous year to CNY517.8 billion.
