(Yicai) Aug. 30 -- KE Holdings Inc., a leading integrated platform for housing transactions and services, has successfully concluded its third annual KE Sustainable Action Award, showcasing outstanding low-carbon projects within the company.

Launched in 2022 by Beike's Sustainable Development Department, the award aligns with China's decarbonization strategy, focusing on environmental protection, energy conservation, and cost reduction. This year's competition featured two tracks: "Awareness and Advocacy" and “Energy Saving and Emission Reduction.”

From a pool of 28 teams across Beike's various business units, a Wuhan-based team from the brokerage business and a team from the home renovation business emerged as champions in their respective tracks.

The Wuhan team's "Wuhan Beike Low-Carbon Action" project won gold in the "Awareness and Advocacy" track. The project promoted eco-friendly practices through initiatives like "Low-Carbon Day" and "Flea Market Day," fostering environmental awareness and sustainable habits among employees.

In the "Energy Saving and Emission Reduction" track, the team from the home renovation business took top honors for their "Beike Home Renovation Logistics Low-Carbon Pioneer Action" project. This project promotes green logistics by implementing initiatives that include the use of new energy vehicles, paperless order delivery across the entire warehousing and logistics chain, and the recycling of used packaging materials.

Beike is committed to fostering sustainability awareness among employees and implementing eco-friendly work practices. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations by 2030. 

These initiatives underscore Beike's dedication to environmental stewardship and its role in driving sustainable practices in the housing industry. As the company moves forward, it remains focused on innovative solutions that balance business growth with environmental responsibility.
