Beijing's New Airport Starts Test Flights

(Yicai Global) May 13 -- Daxing International Airport, the new hub for Beijing that is scheduled to open on Sept. 30, began test flights this morning.

The airport will use planes from China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Air China and Xiamen Airlines such as the Airbus 380, Airbus 350-900, Boeing 747-8 and Boeing 787-9, Beijing Daily reported today. 

Flights are expected to arrive at Daxing International Airport at 9.30 a.m. after departing from nearby Beijing Capital International Airport at 9 a.m.
