(Yicai Global) July 20 -- Beijing's gross domestic product shrank 3.2 percent in the first half from the same period last year to CNY1.62 trillion (USD231.7 billion).
This is 3.4 percentage point improvement on first quarter results, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics announced today.
Fixed asset investment in the capital during the first six months of 2020 fell 1.5 percent year on year, a narrowing of 5.6 percentage points from the first quarter, as the number of new projects under construction increased.
Investment in real estate development bounced up to 4 percent in the first half from a 6.4 percent slump in the first three months of the year.
