(Yicai Global) June 26 -- The Beijing First Intermediate People's Court will start registering nationwide victims of the Ezubao case, the largest online financial fraud in China, from July 2 in order to prepare compensation.
Victims will have until Aug. 30 to register, the court said online today.
Established in 2014, Ezubao collected more than CNY50 billion (USD7.3 billion) by misappropriating funds raised for peer-to-peer lending over the course of nearly two years. Police eventually put a stop to the scam at the end of 2015.
