(Yicai Global) Sept. 29 -- Beihang University and Chinese tech firm Baidu Inc. [NASDAQ:BIDU] have set up China's first artificial intelligence masters course at the educator's software institute, Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Park's Haidian Park Management Committee said online.
The well-regarded university, based in Zhongguancun, signed a deal with Baidu to set up the AI degree, which incorporates research and practical study.
Faculty members for the program comprise famous AI scholars, experts from leading enterprises and university professors, the statement said.
Modules studied on the program including deep learning, visual perception, robotics, cognitive science, unmanned systems and more. Innovation and entrepreneurship have also been included in the curriculum alongside practical training, and students are expected to undertake internships at relevant companies for at least a year to make their way to the forefront of artificial intelligence.
Some 122 postgraduate students have already enrolled on the program.
