(Yicai Global) Sept. 9 -- China's Baidu has won its lawsuit against Debang Logistics Services which used another delivery company's trademark to get ahead of others in search engine rankings.
Shenzhen-based Debang will need to compensate Baidu by paying more than CNY90,000 (USD12,618), the Beijing-based search engine giant said in a statement on its WeChat account today.
Debang had paid Baidu to become a top result on the platform, using Shanghai-based Deppon Logistics's trademark. The court did not demand Debang to make amends to the original brand owner.
Baidu will allocate the funds for user right protection, it added.
