(Yicai Global) Nov. 17 -- The mobile Internet era has ended, and the future lies in artificial intelligence, according to Robin Li, founder of Baidu Inc. [NASDAQ:BIDU], the owner of China's most popular internet search engine.
The mobile internet market has entered a relatively stable development stage, leaving meager opportunities for the rise of unicorns, Li said in a speech yesterday at the opening ceremony of the third World Internet Conference. But AI can be applied to upgrading traditional industries such as healthcare, logistics and customer services.
"We need to re-imagine every market and industry," he said.
The World Internet Conference is being held in Wuzhen in the eastern province of Zhejiang between Nov. 15 and 19.
