(Yicai Global) Dec. 16 – In reply to reports that Baidu is in discussions with several auto companies to set up electric vehicle joint ventures, the Beijing-based search giant said that it would not comment on such market rumors, the Beijing Business Daily reported yesterday.

Baidu is in preliminary contact with several car companies, including Geely Auto, to discuss the establishment of EV JVs, various media reported yesterday.
