(Yicai Global) Jan. 15 -- New social networking App Mtoilet's users exceeded its server load on its release date, and thus its short message authentication code for registration is unable to be sent and the app is unable to be used, it announced on its official website.

Mtoilet discovered its iOS download links had shut down and its official website was inaccessible. Its team is expanding the server and optimizing its service, per the announcement.

The app, official released by Shenzhen Ringle Artificial Technology today, has actually been available for download since yesterday.

Wang Xin, the founder of video app Qvod Player -- who was sentenced to prison in 2016 for spreading porn and pirated content online for profit -- established Ringle AI in March.

Mtoilet touts itself on its homepage as a dark web of personal contacts and a shadowy circle of friends. Content that skirts the fringes of legality WeChat has deleted may appear on Mtoilet. The platform supports posting of anonymous questions, with users receiving 'red envelope' rewards for partaking in discussions.

Shenzhen-based Tencent Holdings flushed the link to would-be rival Mtoilet on its WeChat platform upon its release yesterday.
