(Yicai) Jan. 26 -- Antigua and Barbuda, an island nation in the Caribbean, will use medical artificial intelligence developed by Damo Academy, Alibaba Group Holding's research and development institute, to diagnose diseases earlier.
Damo Academy will provide medical institutions in the prosperous tourism destination with products so that doctors can use AI in computed tomography scans to screen for pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, and chronic cardiovascular diseases, the Hangzhou-based tech giant announced today, citing a letter of intent.
Moreover, the two sides will explore more opportunities for clinical and research cooperation at local universities and hospitals to promote medical AI.
Damo Academy focuses on fields such as data analytics, robotics, and fintech, and in medical AI, it integrates computer vision with medical imaging.
