(Yicai Global) July 8 -- Shares in Chinese sportswear brand ANTA tanked over 5 percent this morning after notorious California-based short seller Muddy Waters said yesterday that the firm cheated in its fiscal data by controlling distributors to boost margins.

The stock price [HKG:2020] crashed up to 8 percent this morning but rallied slightly to HKD51.20 (USD6.57) per share at the close, still down 7.32 percent.
