(Yicai Global) Aug. 1 -- A high-ranking official of Anbang Insurance Group today denied rumors about the firm's overseas assets sale.

"The company has no plans to sell its overseas assets," the official, who is responsible for Anbang's US operations, told Yicai Global.

Bloomberg yesterday reported that the company is going to sell its overseas assets and that China's government asked Anbang to bring the proceeds back to China.
